When Kids Visit Assisted Living Facilities, Everyone Benefits

Residents of assisted living facilities love visitors, who bring energy and fun to the facility. But kids also benefit from these visits. A new study showed that kids who spent time playing and helping those suffering from dementia more easily develop empathy, patience and problem-solving skills. There are even programs that bring child volunteers to assisted living facilities.
